Privacy Policy

Ringbinder.io, LLC — Effective Date: 8/8/2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Ringbinder.io, LLC (“Ringbinder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the networking, proxy, hosting, and domain registration services offered at ringbinder.io (the “Service”). This Policy is incorporated by reference into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account and Registration Information

When you create an account, we collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and username. If you register or manage a domain name through the Service, we also collect the domain registrant information required by the registrar and, where applicable, ICANN.

Social Login and Authentication Data

Ringbinder uses Supabase to manage account authentication. If you sign in using a third-party social login provider, Supabase receives and stores the identifiers, email address, and basic profile information that provider shares with us as part of the login process, consistent with the permissions you grant at the time of login. We do not receive or store your social login password.

Network and Usage Data

Because the Service operates as a proxy and networking platform, we and our infrastructure providers process connection and routing metadata necessary to deliver traffic, such as IP addresses, timestamps, session identifiers, bandwidth and performance metrics, and the destination service or port being accessed. We use this data to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service and to enforce the Acceptable Use Policy in our Terms of Service. We do not inspect, retain, or sell the content of proxied traffic beyond what is technically necessary to route it and to respond to abuse or legal process.

Payment Information

If you upgrade to a paid tier, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. Ringbinder does not directly collect or store full payment card numbers; we receive limited transaction information such as the last four digits of a payment method, billing status, and transaction history.

Device and Log Data

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including browser type, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, and standard server log data.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; to authenticate accounts and prevent fraud or abuse; to process payments and manage subscriptions; to communicate with you about your account, including service and security notices; to enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy; to comply with legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests and DMCA notices; and, where you have opted in, to send product updates or marketing communications, which you may opt out of at any time.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using that information for any purpose other than providing services to Ringbinder. These providers currently include a content-delivery and network security provider (Akamai), a data-center and hardware infrastructure provider (PhoenixNAP), an authentication and database provider (Supabase), a payment processor, and, where applicable, our domain registrar partner for domain registration transactions. This list may be updated from time to time as our infrastructure changes; a current list is available upon request.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may limit certain features of the Service.

5. When We Disclose Information

Beyond the service providers described above, we disclose information when required to comply with a valid legal process such as a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request; when necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; when necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, including in response to a DMCA notice, in which case identifying information may be shared with the complaining party or the alleged infringer as required by the DMCA counter-notification process; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to this Policy or a successor policy of which you will be notified.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for money. To the extent applicable state law defines certain advertising-related data sharing as a “sale” or “share,” you may exercise applicable opt-out rights as described in the section below.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and usage information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and maintain accurate business records, after which it is deleted or de-identified in accordance with our internal retention schedule.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure, including relying on the security practices of our infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. Parents who believe their child has provided personal information to us may contact us using the information below. Additional detail regarding our approach to younger users is set out in our internal Minor User Compliance Guide, which governs our age-screening practices.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of certain data sharing, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. You may exercise these rights by contacting us using the information below; we will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf where permitted by law.

10. International Data Processing

Our infrastructure providers, including our content-delivery provider, may process or route data through servers located outside your home country as part of delivering the Service efficiently. Where this occurs, we rely on our providers' contractual and technical safeguards for cross-border processing.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted to the Service with an updated effective date and, where required by law, communicated to you by additional means such as email.
