DMCA Safe Harbor Takedown Policy

Ringbinder.io, LLC — Effective Date: 8/8/2026

Ringbinder.io, LLC (“Ringbinder”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects Users of the Service to do the same. This policy explains the process by which Ringbinder responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512 (the “DMCA”), and is designed to allow Ringbinder to qualify for the safe harbor protections available to online service providers under Section 512(c) with respect to material transmitted or stored at the direction of Users.

1. Designated DMCA Agent

Ringbinder has designated an agent to receive notifications of claimed copyright infringement, as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(2). This agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office’s Designated Agent Directory at dmca.copyright.gov. The designated agent’s contact information is:

Copyright Manager, Ringbinder.io, LLC 805 Wellman Ave NE #1053 Huntsville, AL 35801 Phone: (256) 272-1161 Email: legal@ringbinder.io

Notices sent to any other Ringbinder address or contact point may not be processed under this policy.

2. Notification of Claimed Infringement

If you believe that material available through the Service infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a written notification to the designated agent above. To be effective under the DMCA, your notification must include substantially the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are covered by a single notification;
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit Ringbinder to locate it, such as a URL or account identifier;
  • Contact information for the complaining party, including address, telephone number, and email address;
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Upon receipt of a compliant notification, Ringbinder will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified and will notify the User responsible for the material of the removal and the reason for it.

3. Counter-Notification

A User whose material was removed or disabled in response to a notification may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent. To be effective, a counter-notification must include the User’s physical or electronic signature; identification of the material removed and its location before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that the User has a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and the User’s name, address, and telephone number, along with a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Ringbinder may be found, and that the User will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notification.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Ringbinder will forward it to the original complaining party and will inform that party that Ringbinder will restore the removed material in ten to fourteen business days unless the complaining party first notifies Ringbinder that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the User from engaging in the infringing activity.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), Ringbinder will, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, terminate the accounts of Users who are determined to be repeat infringers. Ringbinder maintains an internal record of DMCA notifications received per account for this purpose.

5. No Obligation to Monitor

This policy does not require Ringbinder to monitor its Service or to affirmatively seek facts indicating infringing activity, consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(m). Ringbinder’s role is limited to responding to notifications and counter-notifications that comply with this policy and applicable law.

6. Misrepresentation

Any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), including costs and attorneys’ fees incurred by Ringbinder or the affected User.

7. Changes to This Policy

Ringbinder may update this policy from time to time, including to reflect changes to its designated agent information. The current version will always be posted at ringbinder.io/dmca.
